Who we are
The collaboration between Verena Piwonka and Gab Branco began with dance happenings at Altstadt-Kulturfest Korbach in 2024.
Building on this experience, they developed the concept for the project “Spaziertänze – tanz dich durch Kassels Innenstadt” on behalf of Tanzwerk*Kassel and funded by “Ab in die Mitte”, 2024.
The festival took place at various locations in public spaces with the aim of bringing the full range of dance performances into people’s everyday lives.
Developing this approach further, the duo is now engaged on their own production with “Strolling Through Hessen’s (Dance) Scenes”, a tour through six Hessian cities with workshops and dance happenings in Kassel, Korbach, Giessen, Fulda, Frankfurt a. M. and Wiesbaden.
The duo keeps refining their collaboration working with cultural productions, curation, dance and performance.
